Dwight-Englewood School Appoints New Upper School Athletic Director

Joseph Algrant, Upper School Principal, announced the appointment of Eli Goldberger as the new Athletic Director of the upper school effective July 1, 2008. Mr. Goldberger will replace current athletic director Tom Curry, who was named athletic director for Leonia High School.

Iraq War Veteran Speaks to D-E Students

William Quinn, a sophomore at Georgetown University, is not a typical college student. Mr. Quinn, who enlisted in the United States Army six months prior to the September 11th attacks, is also a veteran of the war in Iraq.read more

Two D-E Students Qualify to Compete in National Mathematics Competition
Upper School senior Tomoki Kimura and junior Brian Norton scored in the top 5% in the nation on the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 12) and earned the opportunity to compete in the American Invitational Examination (AIME), which was held on April 2, 2008.read more

Amnesty International Club to Sponsor Free Screening of Darfur Documentary
The Amnesty International Club will be hosting a screening of Darfur Diaries: Message from Home on April 18th at 7:00 PM in Hajjar Auditorium. Hamza Ibrahim, a Darfurian refugee, will be the guest speaker. Admission is free, but donations to the Darfur Education Project will be accepted.

On Thursday, April 17th, Dwight-Englewood School is hosting its first-ever Women Authors' Night entitled A Woman's Experience: How Gender and Culture Shape Our Lives and Work.
