On Saturday, September 19, two special events will be held on the D-E campus to honor beloved English teacher Jerry "Kraut" Krauthamer.
A "Kraut's Running of the Bulldogs" Fun Run/Walk (1 mile) will take place at 10:00 AM around the D-E campus, starting from Graham Field. The run is in recognition of Kraut's long-time coaching of the D-E Cross Country and Track & Field Teams. Important, please note that due to extremely high response, registration for the Fun Run/Walk is now closed.
After the Fun Run/Walk, at 11 A.M. in Hajjar Auditorium, we will dedicate the Jerald Krauthamer Classroom. As part of this ceremony, guests will have an opportunity to write a note or personal message to Jerry and add it to a special memory book.
To RSVP for the 11:00 AM dedication, please Email dorep@d-e.org.
If you cannot attend the dedication but would like to share a note with Jerry, please send your note by Tuesday, Sept. 15, to Alumni Director Maria Sanchez Gardner ’78 by email at sanchm@d-e.org or via US postal mail to Maria’s attention at the School.
