Join Running of the Bulldogs Sat., Sept. 24!

All in the D-E community are invited to join in the 2nd Annual Kraut's Running of the Bulldogs event on Saturday, September 24, at 10:00 AM.  The event celebrates and commemorates Jerald Krauthamer (aka "Kraut"), who taught English and coached track at D-E for nearly 40 years.

Kraut had a passion for language and literature; he was deeply committed to track and cross-country; but mainly he loved working with young people. The event continues Kraut's legacy of dedication to young athletes. We hope to promote running as a lifelong activity in the way Kraut did as both a coach and a runner himself. The proceeds from the run will support D-E student athletes as Kraut always did: providing scholarships for them to attend camps and other special opportunities, and funding the special needs of specific teams.

Enjoy a 1 mile fun run/walk or run the "tough" 5K race around the D-E campus. All D-E families, alumni, faculty/staff, former faculty/staff, and friends are encouraged to participate! Due to the generosity of the Satnick Family, all proceeds will benefit the Kraut Fund.

SPECIAL CHALLENGE
In addition, the Satnick family has pledged to match every donation made to the Kraut Fund up to a total of $15,000.00.
