Zoom Fashion Week 2020
Hosted by D-E Upper School HOPE* Club
* Helping Out People Everywhere
Recently our Upper School HOPE Club organized a fun D-E Zoom activity: HOPE Fashion Week 2020! Each day, students dressed in 'themed' apparel and welcomed their furry friends for their Zoom online distance learning courses, advisory gatherings, and activities sessions. See above from photos from HOPE Fashion Week 2020, and below are some quotes from our HOPE students about the "why" behind the fun!
“In this time where we feel all separated, HOPE felt as if we needed something to make people feel united, and that we are all still together and here for each other. The “Zoom Fashion Week” is perfect for this scenario, and also gives people a little taste of “fashion” after we were unable to have our annual fashion show.” - Jibrael ("Jibs") Harrell '21
"HOPE wanted to make D-E feel as connected as possible and we thought this would be a fun way to make us feel as if we are still all together in person." - Liv Dupre '21
"The Zoom Fashion Week was created by HOPE to bring a fun twist to online school, which has put a downer on many of our end of year events and plans. Even though HOPE was not able to follow through with the annual fashion show due to COVID-19, we wanted to add a touch of HOPE to online schooling."- Lexi Altirs '22
