Building on impressive momentum created by his Varsity Softball team's participation last year in the annual Bergen County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, Coach Matthew Schukis is organizing an all-Upper School female athletes initiative for the October 2009 event.  

Approximately 90 D-E female athletes have already signed up to help raise funds and participate in the annual walk, which will be held on Oct. 18 at Bergen Community College.  Last year's team effort raised more than $3,000 for the event.  The D-E community is encouraged to consider making a donation this year, to help the team raise even more money and and help fight breast cancer. Team t-shirts will also be available for sale for $10;  All proceeds will go directly to the Bergen County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
