D-E alumni, faculty, former faculty and friends gathered recently at the Penn Club in New York, for the School's annual NY Alumni Winter Mixer event.  The highlight of this year's celebration was the honoring of newly-retired Middle School faculty member, Robert R. Carson, Jr.  Carson's tenure as a D-E English teacher and coach spans more than 40 years, an "incredible career" in the words of Head of School Dr. Rodney V. De Jarnett.  D-E alumni representing all of the last four decades were in attendance, and the event featured a number of meaningful reflections from both current and former faculty members.
