On Sunday, May 15, Team D-E, sponsored by the Dwight-Englewood School AIDS Awareness Club, raised nearly $3,000 for GMHC as walkers in the 26th annual AIDS Walk New York. In its fifth consecutive year participating in AIDS Walk New York, the student club raised its highest total to date, celebrating senior Zack Hodges' leading totals of more than $1,000 in pledged support for a second year in a row. Sam Cox, a current ninth grader, raised the second highest amount bringing in over $750 in pledges.

This was also senior Libby Ward's fifth year walking with the D-E team, making her the most consistent team participant from D-E; She commented, "AIDS Walk NY was a great way to wrap up another very successful year for the AIDS Awareness Club!  Club and faculty members joined together and then despite the rain, walk[ed]10 km through NYC alongside 45,000+ other participants."
