Dwight-Englewood School is pleased to announce that Matthew Larrowe is the new Girls' Varsity Basketball coach.
Larrowe, who served as the assistant varsity coach for the past three years, will be very familiar with the team, having all but one player returning for the 2011-'12 season. He remarked, "I am excited that Athletic Director Eli Goldberger and the D-E administration have given me this opportunity to lead the girls basketball program. I am looking forward to working with and teaching this group of outstanding young ladies."
Eli Goldberger commented, "I'm really excited for Matt and the entire team. I feel confident that Matt has the energy and enthusiasm necessary to lead our Girls' basketball program."
In addition to his new coaching duties, Matthew Larrowe is a Science Department faculty member for the Middle School. Prior to joining Dwight-Englewood in Fall 2008, Larrowe was an assisant coach at Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Bluefield College in Bluefield, VA.
