Dwight-Englewood’s Upper School club Promotional Arts Society (P.A.S.) recently hosted its annual event, Project Ourway, to an appreciative crowd of friends and family in Hajjar Auditorium. Project Ourway is a showcase of student artwork ranging from videos to spoken word poetry and musical performances. This year’s event held up to tradition, presenting a series of intriguing segments, including:
> A rendering of Crazy sung by Simona Greenberg accompanied by fellow Sophomore Heather Braverman on guitar
> “Explosive Hands of Fearful Joy” & “Head” -- videos by Senior Sam Leung
> Senior Rachna Agarwal reciting an untitled spoken word poem
> Junior Eric Miller performing an original song on piano and voice called The One That Got Away
> An Inception-esque “Coop Fantasy” video showing by student group M.A.N. Productions
> Junior Avery Landau reciting “A Poem”, an original love poem
> Phoebe Mattana’15 singing Breakeven, accompanied by Peter Jyk ‘12 on guitar
> Julia Brice ’14 reciting an original poem “Let it Burn”
> "Valerie”, a video by JAG Productions featuring Upper School student Gina Marie Enriquez singing the song Valerie
> Jesus Take the Wheel, sung in harmony by Seniors Carolyn Wright and Kelly Goodfellow
> Sophomore Zander Androulidakis reciting an original piece of writing, “The Concert”
> Bridge Over Troubled Waters, sung by Julia Feikens ’14
> Julia Bront performing an original monologue, “The Mind of a Girl”
> Senior and Student Body President Artoun Festekjian performing an original spoken word essay, “Who are you?”, citing that your decisions define you
> Dan Shlien ’14 performing the song I Need a Dollar
> Sam Leung ’12 sharing her original piece, “It Would be like my Heart”
> Hallelujah, performed by Heather Braverman ’14 and Senior Alex Koren on voice and guitar, respectively

An outstanding video, “Photo Music” from student group BAD Productions: Avery Landau ’13 Denver Cohen ’13 and Bryan Rubin ’14, incorporating sounds made by everyday objects into a catchy beat which was then formed into a song of sorts.

Lastly, Dan Garcia ’13, Austin James ’13, and Carolyn Wright ’12 performed an original spoken word with interjections of Adele’s Someone Like You, sung by Wright; the title of their piece is “Someone Like You”.
In addition to the above performances, students' visual art pieces were posted, and refreshments were provided by P.A.S. The free admissions event did have a suggested donation, for which in exchange appreciative "donors" were given free bubbles to blow.
