PEP Hosts "Body Image" Panel on April 29
D-E's Parent Education Partnership (PEP) will host a special panel discussion entitled "Body Image and the Media: Reshaping Body Image in Adolescents" on Monday, April 29, from 7-9 p.m. in Schenck Auditorium.
Join us as we hear from a panel of experts who will discuss strategies on helping adolescents cultivate a positive body image from a psychological, medical, social, and nutritional perspective. The discussion will be fcilitated by Lucy Martin-Gianino, a Board Member with NYC-Parents in Action.
Paneliists will include Jean Kilbourne, Ed.D., co-author of the critically-acclaimed book "So Sexy So Soon", and nutritionist Heidi Skolnik, D-E Alumna ('79) and owner, Nutrition Conditioning LLC. Parents of children ages 11-18 are strongly encouraged to attend.
