A "Political" First Thursday Event - April 3
Our next First Thursday Event welcomes Joel Benenson, President Barack Obama's Lead Pollster, who will talk about elections, the importance and impact of polling data, and resulting campaign strategies. This illuminating First Thursday Event takes place the Thursday after Spring Break, April 3, at 7:00 pm in Hajjar Auditorium.
Joel is the Founding Partner, President and CEO of Benenson Strategy Group (BSG). He is the only Democratic pollster in history to have notched three winning presidential campaigns. He has been the chief pollster and a senior strategist for President Obama since the beginning of his 2008 campaign, and he previously worked on President Bill Clinton's 1996 race. Joel is also a D-E past parent (Anya '07 and William ' 10).

Prior to serving in politics, Joel wore various hats in the communications world: as a Vice President at New York-based ad agency FCB; as communications director for Governor Mario Cuomo's 1994 campaign; and as a political journalist for the New York Daily News.
Earlier that day, Joel will be presenting remarks to all Middle and Upper School students in special D-E 125 Event Assembly programs.
