FREE Music Concert: Feb. 14 @ NY Symphony Space!

Arts lovers, Anglophiles and romance-seekers take note!

A special D-E concert is scheduled for Feb. 14 -- featuring student vocalists and instrumentalists including visiting music ensembles from St. Dominic's College (London, UK) -- in the heart of Manhattan.

On Tuesday Feb. 14, the D-E Upper School (US) Orchestra, StringJam and US choral ensembles will collaborate with the music ensembles of visiting St. Dominic's College (London) to perform in the famed Peter Norton Symphony Space in Manhattan.

Located on the corner of 95th Street and Broadway in New York, NY, the Peter Norton Symphony Space is renowned as a unique and exciting space in which to perform. This Valentine's Day Concert will start at 7:30 PM and admission is FREE.

Works slated for performance by D-E ensembles will include Vivaldi's Concerto for 2 Violins in A Minor; Copland's "Fanfare for a Common Man"'; and Bloch's Concerto Grosso. St. Dominic's student artists will perform Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Somebody to Love"...  to name a few. Together the ensembles of D-E and St. Dominic's will also perform Mozart's Symphony 25 in G minor, Orff's "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana; and "Stand Together" by Jim Papoulis and arranged by D-E's own Music Department faculty member and ensembles director Diego Garcia. To paraphrase D-E Performing Arts Department Chair and US Orchestra Director John Littlefield: "This will be a fantastic evening of live music, in New York, NY, on the most romantic day of the year.  And, it's free.  What more could you ask for?"
