The lady bulldogs had a successful weekend the tournament hosted by local Tenafly HS on Saturday. The girls demonstrated power and finesse as they executed each and every position, performing well as a team. Five of the seven starters on Varsity are first year Varsity players so this weekend proved key to gain confidence. The girls fought hard during round-robin pool play defeating Tenafly 25-22 and Garfield 25-22 while losing to New Milford 23-25, Montville 15-25, & Vernon 26-28.
The bulldogs beat Tenafly (for the first time ever in playoffs) in the Quarterfinals 28-26 , but ultimately lost to tough opponent Montville 16-25. The girls finished the tournament tied for 3rd of 6 teams.
