Ultimate Team Wins 4th at States!

Head Coach Jonathan Egan shared these details: “For the past several years, the same four schools have locked up the top spots, so for our 'Dogs to finally break into that group is an awesome achievement. The team earned their spot with a 13-10 quarterfinal victory over West Windsor-Plainsboro South, a strong, athletic squad that had beaten D-E each of the last two years at [this tournament].”

 

Coach Egan continues, “Yet perhaps the most impressive result of the weekend was the team's opener in group play on Saturday against Westfield, currently ranked first in NJ and fifth in the nation. Spectators, tournament organizers, and opposing coaches quickly took note as the ‘dogs grabbed the early lead and stayed right with their powerhouse opponent before losing 13-11. This incredible effort buoyed the team the rest of the weekend, as their high level of play over both days continued to draw interest from those in attendance.”
