D-E Parents' Association Welcomes "Dr. G" April 4

The D-E Parents' Association (PA) welcomes Dr. Deborah Gilboa, also known as "Dr. G", for a parent education evening event on Wednesday, April 4, 7 - 9 PM. at Dwight-Englewood School.  This event is being presented as a "for parents/guardians" segment together with assembly presentations that Dr. G will be giving later this week to students.

TV Personality and author of the popular book Get the Behavior You Want...Without Being the Parent You Hate, Dr. G will offer strategies that help make students more resilient, responsible and respectful. A renowned international speaker, she empowers and inspires audiences with humor, candor, and experience as a family doctor. Dr. G connects with adults, strategizing with them to avoid drama, give the children in their lives strong values, and help them to be fantastic adults.

Dr. G’s TEDx Talk, The Expectation Gap, (click here to view) received 20K views on YouTube - sharing her philosophy of having adults step back, so youth can step up by closing the expectation gap between what adults believe today’s youth is capable of, and allowing them to create their own solutions to today (and tomorrow’s) biggest challenges -  closing the wealth gap, education gap and healthcare gap - will impact society greatly in the next 5-10 years.
