When did you start at D-E? (What grade?)	9th grade
What activities are you involved in?	In addition to being a tour guide leader, I am President of CODES (Community Outreach at Dwight-Englewood) and Vice Chair of the Student Activities Advisory Board. In CODES, we run various events throughout the year to help people in our surrounding community. We organize a Thanksgiving food drive every year, and decorate the children’s ward of Englewood Hospital for Halloween and Valentine’s Day. On the Student Activities Advisory Board, we facilitate all of the clubs at D-E, and approve new clubs for the following year.
What is your favorite spot on D-E campus?	My favorite spot on campus is STEM as it is a light, airy and quiet place to study, and has great equipment for all of my science and math classes.
Favorite D-E tradition?	My favorite D-E tradition is spirit week, which happens every year in October. Each day during Spirit Week, students dress up based on that day’s theme and, in the Upper School, they engage in competitions among all four grades. While it is a week full of competition, it is also a week full of fun.
What are your favorite classes?	My favorite classes have always been my math and science classes. I have loved doing hand- on work in labs in Integrated Biology and Chemistry as well as Physics, and working through problems with other students in all of my math classes.
Why D-E?	D-E is a very welcoming community. All of the students here are very encouraging of one another, whether it be in class, at a sports game or during a musical performance. In addition, teachers are always available to help students with their academics or have a conversation about anything from ordinary life issues to a random topic that you both find interesting. I think D-E is special because it is a supportive community that provides a challenging and engaging academic curriculum while also having great extracurricular options including a wide-range of clubs.
Wne quirky fact about you	I am really good with maps and navigating my way around many different places.
