MAGIC 2012 a Success!
Dwight-Englewood's 17th annual intramural sports tradition known simply as MAGIC (The Michael A. Glowski Intramural Competition) took place recently in the Large Gym, and the rainy weather clearly didn't put a damper on the participants' and observers' enthusiasm for the event.
Alan Brown, Dean of Student Life and the official MAGIC emcee commented, "This year's event was once again a success, even though we didn't get to hold it on Graham Field."
More than 30 teams made up of approximately 250 students competed in games that were both challenging and humorous, including "Dr D Says" (a take on Simon Says, featuring Head of School Dr. De Jarnett), Mummy Wrap, 3 Legged Race, and others. Parents helped out with selling refreshments during the event. The net proceeds from the the event go to support the Michael Glowski Foundation, named in honor of Michael Glowski who passed away suddenly during his junior year at D-E. Members of Glowski's extended family were in attendance.
