"Seussical"™ Performing Feb. 26-28!

"Oh the Thinks you can think, when you think about Seuss"!

This winter D-E is proud to present Seussical ™, the musical extravaganza based on the works of Dr. Seuss.  Get ready for a rollicking good time as Horton Hears a Who meets up with characters from a variety of other Seuss stories.  Watch as the Cat in the Hat, acting as emcee, transports us through the journeys of Horton, JoJo, Gertrude, and Mazie to name a few.  From jungle to clover field to NYC and back again, audiences will enjoy a fast-paced, roller coaster ride as they learn the lessons interwoven throughout these well-known whimsical but potent Dr. Seuss tales.  Honesty, loyalty, authenticity, perseverance, and acceptance are just some of the themes explored.

Join us for an evening which promises to please "young and small, old and tall" with a musical score that embraces a myriad of toe-tapping, hand-clapping styles including California surfer music, swinging Latin rhythms, and familiar pop sounds.  First seen on Broadway in 2000, this wonderful stage production by the award-winning team of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, creators of Ragtime and Once On This Island, has become one of the most popular musicals produced for young audiences around the country.

Performances of Seussical ™ will take place in Schenck Auditorium, and are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, February 26:  7:30 pm *
Friday, February 27:  7:30 pm
