Help fight hunger and have a great time, when D-E holds an All-School Community Service Event & Spring Carnival for the entire family!
Tomorrow, Saturday, April 26, Dwight-Englewood is
fighting hunger by holding a Weekend Snack Pack Drive to benefit children at risk of
hunger in the Englewood public schools. The Snack Pack Drive will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in Modell's Sports Complex. After our Snack Pack Drive, enjoy a Spring Carnival from 12:00 - 4:00 pm on Leggett Field!
The Center for Food Action reports that more than 20,000 Bergen County students participate in the free and reduced price meal program. While these students receive meals at school during the week, they often go hungry on the weekends. There are three ways you can help us reach our goal of packing 1,000 Weekend Snack Packs.
Upper School students should bring in food to advisory. Lower and Middle School donations should be dropped off in the collection bin located in the first floor of the Klein Campus Center by April 24th.
2) Donate money (checks should be made payable to the Center for Food Action).
Upper School students can bring checks to advisory. Lower and Middle School donations can be dropped off in the Upper School Office in Leggett Hall.
We need volunteers to help set up and pack the snack packs in the gym from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
After the Snack Pack Drive, join us at the Second Annual Spring Carnival, sponsored by the Upper School Student Government, from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Leggett Field. Enjoy activities, crafts, food & fun!
Both the Snack Pack Drive AND the Spring Carnival events are for the entire family; all ages welcome.
