D-E families are encouraged to help local area families in need this Thanksgiving, with the annual CODES (Community Outreach for Dwight-Englewood School) Food and TCC (Teens Connecting Communities) Coats Drives!

For the Food Drive, families are asked to please donate canned goods and other non-perishables and paper products including:
-  Canned Vegetables, Fruit, Gravy, Pie Filling
-  Pie Crust Mix
-  Stuffing Mix
-  Apple and Cranberry Juice
-  Cereal
-  Rice
-  Coffee/Tea
-  Paper Towels / Napkins / Diapers

Food donations may be dropped-off in these areas at the School, as follows:
> Upper School (US) advisory rooms or the lobby adjacent to the US Office
> Middle School Umpleby Hall Lobby
> Lower School Lobby

Monetary contributions to the Food Drive are also welcome and encouraged, and can be given directly to Maya Gunaseharan, Director of Student Activities.  All proceeds benefit the local area Center for Food Action (http://cfanj.org/)

Questions about the CODES Thanksgiving Food Drive
can be directed to CODES club leader Daria Shvetsov at: shvetd@d-e.org.

D-E families are also invited and encouraged to support the Bergen Family Center (BFC), with a Coats Drive.  BFC, Bergen County's oldest family service agency, supports local families in need, providing care for the elderly, children, and families.

If you would like to help, please give the gift of warmth by donating a clean, new or gently used coat for a child and/or adult.  Collection bins are now located in the upper level (second floor) of the Klein Campus Center and in Umpleby Lobby.  The Coats Drive is being facilitated with help from US club Teens Connecting Communities (TCC).

Questions about the Coats Drive may be directed to US TCC leader Eric Topfer at: topfee@d-e.org or you may also contact D-E parent Terri Chartouni at terri@chartouni.us to arrange for your coat(s) to be picked up.  To download a flyer about the Coats Drive (PDF) please click here.

The last day for contributions to be accepted at the School is Monday, November 23.
