Student-Led Edgewater Disaster Relief
Upper School student clubs CODES (Community Outreach for Dwight-Englewood School) and HOPE (Helping Out People Everywhere) co-led an Edgewater Disaster Relief Donations Drive that was organized to assist family victims of the fire at the Avalon apartment complex in Edgewater on January 21.
Upper School student clubs CODES (Community Outreach for Dwight-Englewood School) and HOPE (Helping Out People Everywhere) co-led an Edgewater Disaster Relief Donations Drive that was organized to assist family victims of the fire at the Avalon apartment complex in Edgewater on January 21. The Drive was held from January 29 to February 6, and baby- and toddler-related donations were collected, as well as household items and gift cards.
Additionally, some entrepreneurial Lower Schoolers opened a pop-up store in the Lower School Lobby - the proceeds of which also supported this effort.
Our thoughts go to all those who have been negatively affected as a result of this event.
