The D-E Football Team avenged last season's heart-breaking one-point loss to Newark Academy by the same margin in a thrilling 20-19 come from behind win on the road. Junior RB Dallas Devlin's 7 yard 1st quarter TD run kept the Bulldogs within striking distance, down 13-7 at the half. Junior QB Aaron Haskel connected with senior WR Jason Dargan on an 18 yard 3rd quarter TD pass that put D-E up 14-13 after the second of senior Martin Lecole's 2 extra-points. Midway through the 4th quarter, senior RB Aleem James ripped offf an electrifying 89 yard TD run that put the Bulldogs up 20-13 as Lecole's PAT just missed to the left. The Minutemen responded with a long drive and scored to pull within one point. Their two-point conversion run for the win was stuffed by the D-E defense as the Bulldogs held on for the win.
