Isabella Brown had her pitching debut with five strikeouts! The girls baseruning was excellent, stealing home multiple times to earn runs. Most of the team had great hits offensively, bringing the team to a 12-11 win against Horace Mann.
The Bulldogs experienced their first loss of the season against a highly disciplined and skilled Park Ridge. The final score was 15-6. Our only 6th grader on the team, Emma LaGana pitched her first game ever for the Bulldogs. She pitched four strikeouts! Sophie Levine and Alexa Tiflinsky had two hits and an RBI.
The Bulldogs improved their record to 3-1 with a 15-8 victory over Horace Mann at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx. Sophie Levine pitched the game and had 3 strikeouts to lead the Bulldogs to a win. Angie Ruggiero, Tyler Rogers, Isabella Brown, and Paris Cooke-Brown led the offense with big hits to score runners.
Sophie Levine had 8 strikeouts in her pitching debut for the Bulldogs against Roy Brown! The girls showed great patience while batting. Many of the girls had great hits including Paris Cooke-Brown with an inside the park homerun! The Bulldogs were on their toes in the field making some great defensive plays. The final score was 21-13.
What a way to start the season against Fieldston! Mena Tausner had three strikeouts in her season opener pitching debut for the Bulldogs. Defensively, the girls did well, especially for their first game. Offensively, all of the girls had great hits to get on base. In the bottom of the fourth inning the bulldogs were down 13-9. The girls rallied back to tie the game with only one out. Paris Cooke-Brown sealed the victory with a bases loaded shot out to right field allowing Alexa Tiflinsky to score the winning run!
