  • DE Ranked 7th in State Tournament

    For the first time in school history, the bulldogs qualify for the elusive State Volleyball Tournamnet. Ranked #7 overall, they play opponent Golda Och at DE on Wednesday, November 2nd @4:30pm.

  • Bulldogs Down Patriots

    Although off to a slow start, the lady bulldogs picked up momentum and started playing stronger in sets 2 and 3 ultimately leading to a 2-1 victory over league rival Secaucus (21-25, 25-14, 25-18). Leading the charge was Sophomore Libero Linda Chen with 25 digs, Senior MB Annabelle Janssens with 8 kills and Outside Hitters Autumn and Audrey Leak with 10 kills a piece; Setters Jayna Waldman and Allison Taylor dished up 14 assists a-piece. Up next- Second round of County's versus IHA on Saturday at 2pm.
  • Bulldogs Win First County Match Ever!

    The Lady Bulldogs continue their banner year with their first ever County win in a hard fought battle over the Hackensack Comets 2-1 (16-25, 25-22, 25-21).  Leading the way was Freshman phenom Outside Hitter Audrey Leak with 18 kills, and Sophomore standout (and sister) Outside Hitter Autumn Leak with 13 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore Libero Linda Chen chipped in 13 digs and Sophomore Setter Jayna Waldman contributed 22 assists to the effort. The team is 14-3 on the season which is by far their best record in school history; next County Match is against powerhouse IHA at Old Tappan this Saturday at 2pm.

  • Volleyball Team Heads into County's for First Time in School History!

    Another fantastic day to be a Bulldog!!!  For the first time in 
    D-E history, the Girls' Volleyball Team has made the Bergen County Tournament. With a rank of #19, the team will travel to the #14 ranked Comets of Hackensack.
     
    The match will be played at:
    Hackensack High School this coming Saturday, October 15th at 4:30 PM.
  • Dwight Victorious Versus Secaucus for First Time

    The Lady Bulldogs beat the Secaucus Patriots for the first time in school history today in two sets. In control from the moment the match began, Autumn Leak was on fire hitting for a 0.562 with 11 kills and 2 errors on 16 attempts. Jayna Waldman contributed 15 assists, and Allison Taylor chipped in 8 to the offensive effort. Autumn also led the team defensively with 14 digs and Linda Chen added 10. The dogs now await for their seeding in the county tournamnet which should be released tomorrow evening. Go dogs!
  • Lady Bulldogs drop tough loss to rival Leonia

    Since the last time these two teams faced off, both teams have gone undefeated, trouncing every opponent that has come their way. With the league title on the line, the Bulldogs came out ready to play. Exchanging points evenly through the first half of set 1, the Lions went on a run of points, and the Dogs were unable to regain their footing dropping set one 17-25. After a break between sets, DE came out on fire due to a great kill and then serving run by Sophomore Autumn Leak building an 8-2 lead. Continuing the lead for the majority of the set, the dogs served tough, and played great defense, but had difficultly putting the ball away against a tough Leonia defense. DE was up 20-16, but couldn't close out the match and lost 23-25. The team looks to battle back against Harrison this Friday.  


  • Bulldogs Cruise Past Queen of Peace Eagles

    The Bulldogs easily defeated the Eagles in two sets today 25-18, 25-16. Highlights incude Audrey Leak with 15 kills, Annabelle Janssens with 6 kills, Jayna Waldman with 19 assists and Linda Chen with 7 digs.
  • DE trounces Bergen Charter and Dwight Morrow

    The lady bulldogs crushed opponents Bergen Charter 2-0 (25-8, 25-10) and Dwight Morrow 2-0 (25-9, 25-11). 

    Bergen Charter Highlights:
    Autumn Leak 6 kills, Audrey Leak 5 kills, Allison Taylor 8 assists, Allison Taylor and Audrey Leak 7 aces apiece

    Dwight Morrow Highlights: Jayna Waldman 15 assists, Audrey and Autumn Leak 6 kills apiece, Linda Chen 5 aces
  • Volleyball Topples New Milford

    In a four game win-streak, the Bulldogs beat the Knights of New Milford in 3 sets. The team easily beat NM in set one, 25-16. Perhaps too confident in set 2, the team trailed the entire game, and despite a late run, were unable to tackle NM in set two, ultimately losing 20-25. After a much needed break, the team came out strong in set three and due to a strong serving performance by Jayna Waldman, they easily toppled New Milford in set three 25-15. Team highs: Autumn Leak 16 kills, Annabelle Janssens 14 digs, Jayna Waldman 22 assists.
  • Volleyball Team beats Tenafly for First Time

    The lady bulldogs showed up ready to play Saturday, at Modells Sports Complex beating neighbor rival, Tenafly in 2 sets (25-22, 25-19). In an impressive hitting performance Autumn Leak had 13 kills, Audrey Leak chiped in 9 kills, Jayna Walman had 16 assists and Senior Rachel Kim had an impressive 7 digs on the match. The girls are off to a 3 game win-streak. Go dogs!
  • Lady Bulldogs Battle to Beat Lyndhurst

    Although the team was off to a slow start, the team came alive in the moments that mattered beating Lyndhurst in 3 sets (25-22, 29-31, 25-15). Led by solid serving in the first set, Autumn Leak served 6 consequetive points to earn the W in set 1. In set 2, the team battled back hard from a 19-22 deficit, ultimately defeated at an unbelievable 29-31. The third set, the team finally fell back into rhytym and they easily defeated Lyndhurst 25-15. Outstanding performances all around, but highlights by Sophomore Autumn Leak who had a double double on the night, 14 kills and 20 digs, Freshman Audrey Leak who had 17 kills, Jand Sophomore setter Jayna Waldman added 22 assists.
  • Dogs Win a Thriller in Home Opener

    The team came out strong and confident in set 1 versus league opponent Harrison. Audrey Leak had an unbelievable 7 kills in the first set alone, and the teams effort culminated in a 25-20 victory. Set 2 proved difficult for the dogs to gain traction, after numerous unforced errors the set ended in Harrison's favor 25-20. In a 3rd set tie-breaker, the dogs fought hard for each and every point and their victory (25-21) was a true team effort. Leading the charge was Freshman Audrey Leak with a match high 12 kills, Sophomore Jayna Waldman with 15 assists and fellow Sophomore Autumn Leak with 20 digs. Friday will be another heated contest away versus Lyndhurst.
  • Bulldogs Drop Match to Rival Leonia

    In the first competitive league match, the state ranked Leonia Lions proved to be too tough for the Lady Bulldogs, dropping in two sets 15-25, 13-25. While set 1 proved very competitive, the bulldogs were down 11-12 at one point, they were unable to match Leonia's ball control causing the Lions to go on a 13 to 4 run. Unable to gain much traction, the Bulldogs dropped set 2 due to many unforced errors. Hoping to regain footing, they are back on campus Thursday for their home opener versus Harrision at 4pm in Modell's Sports Complex.
  • Bulldogs fall to Fairlawn

    The lady bulldogs looked to continue their undefeated record Friday at Fairlawn, but the Cutters proved too tough. Struggling to gain traction in set one, the dogs fell 10-25. Impressively, the dogs started out game 2 strong, battling for each and every point. The score was tied until 15-15 when the Cutters went on a 3 point run, continuing to keep this lead for the rest of the match, ending with 22-25. Audrey Leak led the teams offense with 4 kills, Jayna Waldman had 5 assists and Linda Chen had 6 digs. Next up, the reigning league champion Leonia Lions.
  • Season Opener a Victorius Night for the Bulldogs

    The lady bulldogs were well prepared for their season opener versus league opponent Ridgefield. The girls served tough, and passed well helping to take down the Ridgefield Royals in 2 sets, with ease 25-10 and 25-19. Leading the charge were Autumn Leak who had 13 kills on the night, Audrey Leak chipped in with 11 kills, and Jayna Waldman had an impressive 19 assists at the match. Linda Chen led the defensive effort with 7 digs.
  • Lady Bulldogs trounce HCA

    The girls volleyball team easily defeated HCA in their last scrimmage of the preseason with scores of 25-8 and 25-11. A main focal point for the preseason was the teams serve recieve which looked ready for the season on Friday. The team earned a long labor day weekend off and they are back in the gym on Tuesday, ready to prepare for Ridgefield, their season opener on Thursday.
  • Bulldogs Off to a Great Start!

    The DE Lady Bulldogs are off to a great start on the 2016 Season. They faced Dwight Morrow in the first scrimmage of the season.  Led by the incredible serving performance of Freshman Audrey Leak who tallied 12 aces on the night, the lady bulldogs won the match 2-0 with scores of 25-14 and 25-11 .

    The squad came right back at it the next day facing opponent Hasbrouck Heights HS. The team came prepared to play from the first point and played calm, controlled and solid volleyball all-around winning 2-0 with scores of 25-22 and 25-11. Our solid passing led to two hitters, Sophomore Autumn Leak and Freshman Audrey Leak, tallying match-high kills at 7 a piece.
