How important is the ISEE? -5th Grade only
We do require standardized test scores at this time to help us evaluate applicants in the process standardized scores are a part of the file and are used in just that capacity: a piece of the puzzle in getting to know each student. We offer the ISEE on campus for those students applying to D-E. Please contact Alice Rollo at rolloa@d-e.org if you are interested.

Are campus visits and attendance at Open Doors required?
We strongly encourage parents to attend an Open Doors Event.

Does Dwight-Englewood require an interview as part of the application process?
Yes. All families applying to the Lower School are required to have an individual parent interview.  Once you submit the application and $75.00 application fee, please visit Ravenna to register for your parent interview. We will require students applying to the 4th and 5th grades to have a short 10-minute interview with the Admissions Director.  We require all applicants to participate in a student screening.

Are siblings and legacy applicants given priority in the admissions process?
We value our longstanding relationships with sibling and alumni families but do not offer Early Action as an option. We cannot guarantee admission to students based on a prior association with D-E; sibling and legacy candidates undergo the same Admissions Committee review as all other D-E applicants.

    How are decisions made?
Dwight-Englewood uses a comprehensive admissions process in which every application receives a full evaluation and all parts of the application are considered.
