  • Upcoming Arts Events: Cabaret Night, Handbell/Choral Extravaganza & Art Exhibit 2018

    This week presents great opportunities to enjoy D-E students' visual and performing arts endeavors! On the evening of Tuesday, May 22, D-E Stage Band presents their annual springtime Cabaret Night, and on Wednesday, May 23, students from the Upper and Lower Schools will perform a Handbell/Choral Extravaganza on the stage of Schenck Auditorium. Concurrent with this concert, an art exhibit featuring 2-D and 3-D works by Upper School students will be on display.

    The African savannah comes to life with Dwight-Englewood's Middle School (MS) production of Disney's The Lion King, Jr.

    Through a creative and collaborative process between African Drumming, Studio Art Discovery classes, and a talented cast and crew of D-E students, faculty, and staff, we journey together from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again, in an inspiring, coming-of-age tale. Join us, and be swept away in the "circle of life that moves us all."

  • Student-Led Fundraisers: Fiesta Mexicana; Dance for the World; H.O.P.E. Clothing Drive

    D-E Upper School students are involved in a variety of worthwhile fundraisers this month!  Fiesta Mexicana (Thursday, May 10); a "Dance for the World" to benefit Unicef Fiji, and a spring clean-out clothing drive all are underway now, and open to participation by all three divisions of the School.

  • SWARTLEY GALLERY SERIES PRESENTS Donna Davies Timm

    Starting from Wednesday, April 4 through Monday, April 30, D-E’s Swartley Gallery Series will feature works by fiber artist Donna Davies Timm. Kicking off the show was a successful artist “meet and greet” reception on the opening day - students had an opportunity to watch the artist creating a free-style embroidery on her sewing machine, to use the artist’s table loom to continue the textile work, and to further discuss the unique textiles and mesmerizing embroidery works on display.
