List of 8 items.

  • D-E Annual Fund

Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the true cost of the D-E experience and so, philanthropy plays a critical role in the operation of the School.  Gifts to the D-E Annual Fund help to maintain a balanced budget, manage costs, and uphold the quality of education for which we are best known.
  • The Head of School Society

We invite you to partner with us to keep Dwight-Englewood strong by joining the Head of School Society by making a leadership gift to the D-E Annual Fund.  Membership in the Head of School Society signifies an exceptional D-E Annual Fund financial investment of $2,500 or more.

Members of the Head of School Society enjoy invitations to special programs and events hosted by the Head of School.  Leadership donors are also recognized in the Annual Report.

  • Capital Giving, Endowment, and Special Projects

Gifts for capital purposes are typically made with the future in mind. Donors may add to the permanent assets of Dwight-Englewood through an addition to bricks and mortar or to the financial strength of the School through an investment in endowment, the income of which will support D-E in perpetuity.  Typically these gifts are made during capital campaigns and are payable over five years, but they may also be made through bequests.  Donors with a particular interest in financial aid or faculty support may choose to establish an endowment which will benefit students or faculty long into the future.

To learn more about making a capital or endowment gift to Dwight-Englewood, please contact Pat Boig, Director of Advancement,  either by phone (direct 201-227-3108; 201-569-9500, ext. 3108), or by email at boigp@d-e.org.

Dwight-Englewood School has a brokerage account with The Glenmede Trust Company. All stock donations are sent or transferred directly to Glenmede who has a standing order to immediately sell any stock received. The School follows IRS Publication 561 instructions to value the stock at its Fair Market Value, which is measured using an average of the highest and lowest quoted selling prices on the day the stock is received by the broker and transferred into the School’s account to determine the value of the gift. Generally, the stock is sold the same day, but sometimes it will take more than one day.
