Catch the DogPound Update - featuring the Latest News from D-E Athletics!

Welcome from Bill Jaeger, Interim Athletics Director

Greetings from the Home of the Bulldogs,

Since joining the Athletic Department it has been evident that the whole Dwight-Englewood community understands and supports the view that athletics are an extension of the educational development of D-E students to seek excellence, honor integrity and embrace diversity while developing the skills, values, and courage to address the challenges of our ever-changing world.  To attain these high standards the athletic department seeks out the most qualified coaches available to ensure a positive interscholastic athletic experience for all our athletes. I am excited to work with these dedicated professionals, our athletes, our parents, and our administrative staff to ensure our success.

Please remember that the real value of scholastic sport is played out in the hardships and trials our student-athletes face throughout the season in practices and competitions.  It is up to them to learn how to meet and overcome the many challenges they will face.  It is a crucial part of their learning experience.

I look forward to seeing you at our competitions. For current schedules of all D-E games in-season please click here or on the "Calendar & Directions" to Venues link above. A full list of all athletic teams is available from the "Team Pages" link above or click here.

Respectfully,
Bill Jaeger
Interim Athletic Director
