Kindergarten students visit Swartley Art Center once a week for a 45 minute art class
- Children will be provided with time throughout the year to work both independently and collaboratively
- Children will be exposed to elements of color, line and shape while exploring basic concepts of drawing, painting, sculpture, and arrangements
- Each student will create work within each medium that demonstrates understanding
- Children will be exposed to art that emphasizes the medium they are learning
- Children will be exposed to art vocabulary
- Students participate in an annual art exhibition with first graders
