Upper School Students Program: 2025-2026

All Upper School (US) students must have a functioning, laptop computer capable of operating on our school's network and running the software required by our courses.

Students entering the 9th grade and those who are new to Dwight-Englewood can purchase a computer from the school to be used in our US Program. D-E’s Computer Services Department will configure these devices to work on our network and deliver them to students. We will assist with backups, provide training, on-site service, and support including repair of accidental damage and software re-installation. During an extended repair, students will have access to our pool of loaner machines at no additional charge.

TO ORDER YOUR COMPUTER...
All Parents of students entering the Upper School must visit THIS PAGE to tell us whether you will be ordering a computer from the school or bringing your own.

Questions? – Find answers to Frequently Asked Questions HERE.

The cost of a school-purchased machine is $1,300, which will be billed through Smart Tuition. This cost covers software, onsite support, and access to our loaner pool during repairs.

US Students are encouraged to purchase their computer through the school. This is the easiest way to ensure that their computer is configured properly to work on our network and to ensure that it can be repaired quickly if something goes wrong. However, we realize that this may not be the best solution for every student. Students will also be permitted to use their own device rather than purchasing it from the school provided that the device meets our minimum system requirements and the student has read and understood the school's policy on BYO computers.
