Upper School Students

All Upper School students must have a functioning, laptop computer capable of operating on our school's network and running the software required by our courses.

Upper School Students who are new to the school or whose current computers are more than three-years old, can purchase a MacBook Pro from the school to be used in our Upper School Program. Dwight-Englewood School's Computer Services Department will configure these devices to work on our network and deliver them to students. We will assist with backups, provide training, on-site service, and support including repair of accidental damage and software re-installation. During an extended repair, students will have access to our pool of loaner machines at no additional charge.

**BYO Option**
Upper School Students are encouraged to purchase their computer through the school. This is the easiest way to ensure that their computer is configured properly to work on our network and to ensure that it can be repaired quickly if something goes wrong. However, we realize that this may not be the best solution for every student. In certain cases, students will be permitted to use their own device rather than purchasing it from the school provided that the device meets our minimum system requirements and the student has read and understood the school's policy on BYO computers.
